My sweet daughter, Jade Capri, was born with a heart-shaped birthmark that became the inspiration behind our logo, while her name became the heart of the brand.
Becoming a mother changed everything. There is no real way to describe the feeling of looking down at this tiny person who somehow feels like your whole heart outside of your body. To me, she was the embodiment of beauty, love, and everything that mattered most.
But motherhood also taught me something else.
As mothers, wives, and women, it is easy to put ourselves at the bottom of the list. The ponytail and sweatpants become the uniform. We tell ourselves there are more important things to worry about. Somewhere along the way, feeling beautiful can feel like a distant memory of someone you used to be.
